SMTA Phase Update – All Citizen Scientists Activated to Receive Their Beans!

We’re excited to share that all new participants of the INCREASE Citizen Science Experiment have now been activated for the SMTA step — a key milestone on the way to receiving your bean seed package!

So far, an amazing 4,023 Citizen Scientists have accepted the SMTA (which stands for Standard Material Transfer Agreement), and 1,448 bean envelopes have already been sent out from our hub in Ancona, Italy.

If you haven’t completed your SMTA step yet and would like to receive beans, simply open the "INCREASE CSA" app and follow the SMTA step — it’s quick and easy! You can find an explanation on what the SMTA is and why it is needed here.

Once your bean envelope arrives, don’t forget to validate your beans in the app. You’ll find a helpful tutorial under Instructions and Tutorials to guide you through the process.
