SMTA Activation Now Open for the INCREASE Citizen Science Experiment

This year’s round of the INCREASE Citizen Science Experiment is picking up speed. Participants who have registered until 1 March 2026 and already confirmed their data in the App of the experiment can now accept the SMTA (Standard Material Transfer Agreement) to proceed their bean growing journey. Only when the SMTA has been accepted will the dedicated INCREASE team in Ancona be able to post the bean seed packages.

Luckily, accepting the SMTA is quick and easy: simply open the "INCREASE CSA" App and follow the SMTA step. You can also find an explanation on what the SMTA is and why it is required here.

Grab your phone and move closer to receiving the seeds for this year’s bean adventure.

Participants who registered after 1 March 2026 will be notified when they can proceed with the process. Please stay patient!
