INCREASE – Intelligent Collections of Food Legumes Genetic Resources for European Agrofood Systems

INCREASE launches new Web Portal to enhance access to food legume genetic resources

The INCREASE project has launched its new Web Portal as a central platform designed to provide open and structured access to valuable food legume genetic resources data. The portal enables researchers, breeders and the wider plant genetic resources community to explore, retrieve and analyse high-quality passport, phenotypic and genotypic data for common bean, chickpea, lentil and lupin. Overall, the Web Portal records more than 1.3M single observations, highlighting the scale and richness of the available data.

Embedded within the broader INCREASE data ecosystem, the portal connects with international systems and repositories, supporting the FAIR principles of making research data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable. Users can access crop-specific sub-portals and explore data at both accession and dataset level through an intuitive interface.

The new Web Portal represents another important step in INCREASE’s mission to strengthen the sustainable conservation and use of food legume genetic resources across European agri-food systems.
