INCREASE Citizen Science Experiment 2025 – Registration deadline extended until 15th March 2025!

Great news for all green thumbs out there! We are thrilled to announce that we have extended the registration deadline for this year's Citizen Science Experiment until the 15th of March 2025! This means you have even more time to join our vibrant community and be part of Europe’s bean community. Whether you are already an expert or just starting out, there is a place for you to connect, learn, and grow together.

We are delighted to share that we have already reached 4,600 registrations for the growing season in 2025! It is heartwarming to see such enthusiasm for our project. Among the new bean friends, the majority is from Germany, followed by Italy, France, Poland, Spain and the Netherlands with participants ranging from 1,300 to 140 from each of these countries alone, showcasing that the concern for agrobiodiversity is universal.

Despite the deadline extension, we are excited to kick off this round of bean growing as planned on 1st of March 2025! This means we will begin distributing the beans to our already registered new bean friends and commence the SMTA phase. For our continuing participants, it is a green light to start growing their beans and documenting their growth whenever they like via the app.
